It was a day, which made us all proud – 4th March 2005.Three divisions of E.I.D Parry (INDIA) Ltd (SCB), bagged the prestigious State safety awards..
The award ceremony was held on the occasion of ‘Safety day’ and was attended by the Honorable Minister for Labor and Employment, Thiru Annavi. The respective plant heads and personnel managers of Nellikuppam, Pugalur and Pettavathalai factories represented our organization at the function.
The Nellikuppam unit bagged State Safety Awards for the year 2001 and 2002 for the following under Group-A category industries
Group - A Category means - "Factories which have worked for not less than 10 lakh man-hours":

Lowest Weighted Frequency Rate during the award year when compared with other industries coming under the hydrogenated oil & sugar industries classification (Scheme 2)

Longest Accident Free period in manhrs during the award year (Scheme 3)
The Unit was awarded with a silver shield and a certificate for the First prizes under the above said schemes.
